17/10/2017 - Storm Ophelia - No significant issues reported

Donegal County Council can confirm that there has been no significant issues reported as a result of Storm Ophelia.  However a number of trees have fallen and our crews have cleared some of these trees and are in the process of clearing others.  As a result a few local roads remain closed this morning.  The Council is continuing to inspect roads for possible damage.

We are urging the public to continue to exercise extreme caution when travelling on roads in the aftermath of Storm Ophelia. Drivers should be aware of debris blown out onto the road, and especially cautious of fallen trees and/or electricity wires.

The Council can be contacted on 074 9153900 during business hours or 074 91 72288 for out of hours emergencies.
